Rev. Lawrence and Sharon Frank have ministered in the New York District of the Assemblies of God and in the New Jersey District. The Franks were born and raised in the Gloversville- Amsterdam area and attended college in New York State training as school teachers. Larry both taught school and served in administrative positions while Sharon taught and served as a substitute teacher. In 1976, the Franks left secular positions to start Faith Christian Academy, a ministry of Calvary Assembly of God in Hudson, New York. In 1981, the Lord led the Franks to pioneer a church in Brewerton. During their fourteen years of ministry the church grew, ministries were developed and a new structure was built. |
Throughout his tenure in the New York District, Larry served as the Central Section Presbyter, Central Section Secretary/Treasurer and on various committees. While in New Jersey, Larry was the Secretary/Treasurer of the Northwest Section. Sharon has served as Sectional Women’s Ministries Representative in both districts.
The Franks have three grown children: Nathan, who is married to Jamie; Alissa and Laura who works as a chef and has served the New York District. Larry and Sharon presently live in the Liverpool area. Larry serves as the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and the Office Manager and Sharon serves as part time Projects Coordinator and Receptionist for the New York District.
Traveling across the District, Larry works with churches in pastoral transition and with churches under supervision. Sharon serves as the District Ministry Wives Fellowship Coordinator.
